POSITION: FOOD & BEVERAGE ACCOUNTANT
REPORTS TO: Director of Finance
FLSA STATUS: SalariedExempt
Summary: Under supervision of Director of Finance, monitors inventory, purchases, cost and revenue sales relating to the Food & Beverage operations at the Shreveport Convention Center and Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for processing all invoices for concessions and catering
- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures
- Analyze all data and report to building management
- Responsible for accurate cost tracking including inventory
- Prepare flash reports and event P&L’s
- Work and reviews with Food & Beverage staff relating to inventory, concessions, beverage consumption and costs. Verifies cashier settlements and bar balances.
- Prepare and analyze information for financial statements and reports
- Verify and check the accuracy of general ledger coding relating to F&B inventory
- Prepare various sales reports and operational reports as required by Director of Finance
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed
- Participate in monthly inventory
- Other finance/accounting related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting required with a minimum 2 years accounting experience required.
- Prefer but not required prior experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
Working Conditions: Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Physical requirements of walking, lifting and standing.
