Puerto Rico Convention Center

San Juan, PR

Architecturally dynamic in structure, the new Puerto Rico Convention Center is the largest in the Caribbean, most versatile and technologically advanced throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. The Center is centrally located within the Puerto Rico Convention Center District development area, minutes from the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, beachfront hotels and the tourist district of Old San Juan. Built on a former Navy base, the Convention Center District is one of the largest waterfront development projects in the U.S. history. It is becoming a dynamic urban center, with residences, multiple hotels and commercial space coming on line which make it not only a gathering place for conventions, meetings and trade shows but for shopping, recreation and entertainment as well.

With 580,000 square feet of total space, the Center can accommodate groups of up to 10,000, in an ideal setting at the gateway to all the Island has to offer. The center’s design borrows from Puerto Rico’s rich color palette, embodying the textures of the rainforest, the drama of moonlight on the ocean and the brilliance of colors reflected in a rippling pool of translucent water. Even the building’s structure honors this fascinating Island with a sweeping roof design that mimics the endless energy of the surf.
